acoustat - one speaker draws more power ?

Model 1 with the medallion interface. Sound great and they sound balanced, but the meters on my amp are way off (they seem to work fine on other speakers). One speaker draws a whole bunch more power.
Would this just be a symptom of a simple recap or is there something else I need to look into on the interface ?

meters don't measure power draw, they measure voltage output. SS amps are voltage amps, so they'll [at least attempt to] put out the same voltage regardless of what's on the terminals. however, if one of your acoustats is a much more difficult load because of some problem it has, you could get significant voltage sag....but i wouldn't expect them to still sound the same and balanced. interesting. can you give us some idea of the difference between the readings?

Now that is weird. Never heard of this happening before. Usually meters are source reactive not load reactive. Now if you have one of the attenuators up slightly to make the sound balanced I would buy that. Over time, electrostats lose sensitivity and need service to the power supply interfaces. I'll bet you may have to send the interfaces off. The guy's name is Roy....er...:scratch2: I'll try to find a link if interested.
