I am a big fan of acoustic guitar. I enjoy Flamenco, unplugged versions, etc. The other day while searching for music on Napster to download to my IPod found this guitar duo from Spain called Rodrigo & Gabriela. They had the most wonderful instrumental (acoustic guitar only) rendition I have heard of Led Zeppelin's Stairway To Heaven. If any of you enjoy acoustic guitar you need to hear this version.

What are your top acoustic guitar (instrumental only) albums or tracks?

Those two hit it big last summer with a soundtrack cut on some movie at the time.
They've played our local "Bumbershoot" music festival the last couple years also.

Boy I forgot all about them, I'll have to get out that CD. A mean Stairway to Heaven, IIRC. They aren't on vinyl, are they?

If they are I couldn't find them on any e-store. Checked their discography, and only CD's and DVD's. By the way, they are actually from Mexico, not Spain. Some people call their style "Mariachi Metal".

I have the cd and I'm going to buy the LP soon.

I believe they lived in Ireland and also Denmark for awhile.
 
Mexican acoustic rock duo Rodrigo y Gabriela will release a new live album – ‘Live In Japan’ – with a bonus live DVD October 17th.

The album captures Rod & Gab making their live Japanese debut, at Tokyo’s Duo club on March 30th this year. I like Al DiMeola and Paco de Lucia for Flamenco guitar.
John Hammond plays a mean acoustic blues guitar. Jorma Kaukonen is a great finger picker and plays roots as well as psychedelia.
There are too many blues masters to mention.
