Acoustic Research (AR) model 122 speakers

Hi All,

I'm new to this site and to audio in general. I would like some feedback and opinions on some
Acoustic Research (AR) model 122 speakers I just purchased for $120 Australian dollars. A friend of my dads (he has just passed away) has some AR9 speakers and I was highly impressed by them. I know the AR-122 speakers are nowhere near the AR9's in all respects but I can't find any information on them. They are in excellent condition. What amp would be recommended to drive them? Many thanks for your opinions (good or bad) on these speakers.

As to what to power them with, thats another journey you need to take, but might
I suggest a NAD amplifier.

Or if you have friends or family with amplifiers then take the speakers
over to their place and hook them up and see if you like what you hear,
a free audition so to speak..

The spirit line was not bad at all. Voiced very well. Woofers use foam however. Nice little monitors.
