Acoustic Research AR9 and Accuphase E-305

I will be purchasing legendary AR9 in mint condition and I'm wondering if Accuphase E-305 will be having any problem driving them? Accuphase is very well built, but I read that they really need a lot of power. I'm guessing Accuphase is more than good enough for them?! What do you think?

Nice speakers, always wanted a set (although no longer have room for them). There have been many discussions regarding the AR9's on this forum over the years, I suggest you use the search function and will probably find your answer if nobody else responds to this thread.

Having said that, your Accuphase amp is rated at 180 watts/channel into 4 ohms, so I suspect you'll be fine.

I think you'll be good to go. MOSFET circuitry and 780 watts. I didn't notice any damping factor for the amp but I would expect it to be quite high.

Just got back with AR9 in mint condition! I'm really lucky. I tried them on Accuphase and it sounds like heaven. More than enough power. In the following days I'll probably bi-amp my Accuphase with Sansui B2101 (200watt/8ohm) for bass so that Accuphase will only work on mid and high range to add all the details.
