I've got someone wanting to sell me a pair of AR LST-2's. What do you think is a fair price for them. He says that they are in excellent condition and all original. If the outsides are any indication of the insides, they appear to be in great shape. I have asked him to send me some more photo's of the actual speakers without the covers on them. What do ya think?

They have collector value and sound good. If they don't need work and the price is right buy them. I would.

Get them as cheaply as possible. If they start with a good price, just pay it.....karma you know!:yes:
Here is a couple of pictures of the smaller speakers. They look pretty good. i am waiting for the person to get back with me. I asked if I could get pics of the center speakers but have not received. He gave me a price, but it is more than I want to pay. I don't know if it is ok to say what that is, I don't want to violate the rules here.

I think it's OK to talk price in this category. I think I remember a nice set of those goes for well over a thousand dollars.:yes:

The drivers are correct, and it's totally OK to talk about value in $ and sense.
Well the seller told me he was going to list them at $800 on ebay. He doesn't want to list them on ebay because of the shipping. I asked what his bottom dollar was, but he hasn't given me an answer to that question. I would like to get them for about $550. The seller contacted me today about getting some pictures of the fronts without the covers. He said he was going to get a guy to help him get the knob off the front, he said he was afraid of messing them up. He said he would send me pictures once he got the cover off.
By the way I picked up a set of JBL-L110's and a JBL PB-10 Sub and a pair of JBL N24's for $50.00 at a consignment auction last Wednesday. All in pretty good condition. I think I will keep the 110's and get the surrounds replaced on the woofers. Probably sell the others. I already heve a PB-10 and don't have a use for the N24's.

I was not aware of the LST-2's before I was contacted by the guy wanting to sell them. But when I seen them, I was definately intriqued by them. I like the quality of the AR products. They typically leave a little to be desired as far as looks, but I have to say the LST's are a very good looking speaker. Somebody mentioned they would make a good surround setup do to there multi-directional outputs. What do you think?
