Hello everyone.
I'm pretty new to audio, but I'm looking to set up a home theatre.
Currently I have a Yamaha RXV 385 Receiver with Acoustic Research 215 PS Bookshelf speakers that I picked up for $60. I also have a Polk Audio PSW10 Subwoofer.
I quite like my these little bookshelf speakers, but have been looking into Tower Speakers and Centre channels as well.
Wanting to kind of stick with the brand, I've looked at some other AR speakers that can generally be picked up for quite cheap.
Some models I see decently frequently are AR 318ps, AR 428ps, and AR 328ps.
Many reviews say, "good for the price".
So my question is, are these speakers worth it, or are they easily outgrown?
I wouldn't say I'm too much of an audiophile, but I like good sound.
So is it better to pay more to get speakers to enjoy for years or will these be sufficient for that?
Ps. They would be for listening to music and also watching movies.
Thanks,
Nebushkow
