Acoustic Research Red-Box II back from service overhaul

Hi everybody
after roughly 25 years of music, three relocations and two quite active kids, I had these speakers serviced.
The technician replaced the foam suspensions and serviced the tweeter domes which had been dented.
I bought these speakers back in 1991 and they have been connected to my Luxman LV-111 since.
Currently, they are connected to a Cambridge Audio A1 v3 unit (as the Luxman amp is still being repaired/cleaned).
There are few information/opinions about these speakers in the internet; these were made in England and not in the USA.
So far, I didn't have the opportunity to listen to the new set up for enough time to tell if the speakers' restoration is effective and how the Cambridge Audio amp performs compared to my old Luxman.
So please find some freshly taken pictures.

essentially they are the same drivers as the Rock Partner speakers, but in a rectangular intead of a trapezoidal box......the last variation of the setup and drivers originally seen in the AR7....

should be good speakers. did you replace the capacitor at the same time? beings they are 25 years old now, it might not be a bad idea to replace the 25 year old electrolytic capacitor. I'm 99% sure it will be a 5uf cap.

Looks like your tech did a nice job
My daughter has the Cambridge a1 v3 connected to her Q acoustics 1020 speakers and it is a good little amp. My son also has the original A1 that was designed by mike creek and is crackin little amp. If you ever come across one they are well worth havin .

Thanks for your reply and for the additional information -- I was not aware of Rock Partner speakers and yes, they look quite similar apart from the trapezoidal box (I suppose they can be placed horizontally only).
In my opinion they are very good speakers, very balanced but with quite deep low frequencies. I still like them. The degree of the finish looks cheap, compared to other bookshel speakers with very well refined borders and grills.
They are not high end products -- of course -- but they were a hard blow to a 16 years old guy's wallet. Thus I don't regret the money I spent for them.
The technician hasn't replaced the capacitor; actually, he didn't propose me to replace the caps when I bought the speakers to the lab. Maybe it could have been a good idea. Next service

Thanks. The laboratory is well know in my town and has a good reputation. Not the cheapest but reliable and honest.
As written, the tech didn't replace the capacitors; but he did a clean job while replacing the suspension foams ; plus, he was able to accurately restore both of tweeters' domes which have been bented in the years.

Cambridge Audio A1 is a recent purchase for me: my Luxman was being repaired and that small British amp was a bargain -- I love it. I am sure that it sounds great with the Q acoustic speakers (they have an amazing design).
Thanks for your advice about the original A1. I wish I could buy more Hi Fi components without making my wife angry!
