Acoustic research speakers.

I have a set of old acoustic research speakers but I don't know what the watts or anything else are. No info at all. I am looking at getting a new amp but am concerned about getting the right match. The model number is AR AU6576.
Can anyone help?

That doesn't sound like the correct model number. Post some pics of the back and front, the latter preferably with and without the grilles.

Hi, thanks, I think you are right, it is probably a serial number.
They are Australian/new Zealand models, but I would assume that USA models are similar? See pictures that I posted.

They're AR-93's. They're listed in the Spec Sheet I attached earlier. They were part of the AR Vertical Series, which also included the AR-9's and AR-90's. A 1.25" cone tweeter, an 8" midrange, and twin 8" woofers. Basically, AR-18's with dual subs. Just make sure they're placed against a wall, for proper bass loading. Good speakers!

Nice speakers. Regarding an amplifier, you always want more power, than not enough. Low power amps pushed to high volume, as we all do, will cause clipping and fry the tweeters. Get a good hi power, high current, high bumping factor amp, and those ARs will be fantastic!

Thanks for the advice. So Basically an amp with bigger ohms, watts and what is high bumping factor?

I have those speakers I am currently using a luxman LV 105u the best sounding one that I have owned for the AR Speakers
