I’ve been enjoying comparing vintage AR suspension speakers with BBC (spendor) monitors of I suppose similar vintage eras of inspiration. (My AR10pi are based on 1960s era AR3 to some extent as my SP1s are upgraded BC1s from the same decade). I’m wondering if anyone has expertise in the pros and cons of either or both designs and can speak to which design point of view they enjoy more (acoustic suspension or bbc ported with advanced cone materials) and or which developments contributed more to the world of hifi.
