What is your favorite acoustical music that one might play on a quiet Sunday morning?

Some of my favorites are:
  • David Benoit - Letter to Evan, Shadows
  • Earl Klugh - Ballads, Earl Klugh, Late Night Guitar, One on one (with Bob James)
  • Checkfield – Distant Thunder, Through the Lens, Water Wind and Stone
  • Mason Williams – Classical Gas
  • Ramsey Lewis Trio – Time Flies
  • David Lanz – various selections
  • Hallmark Music Collection – Relaxing Instrumentals, various artists
I also have quite a few New Age collections and samplers from Narada that I enjoy occasionally.

One of our local college stations (WDCB) plays a syndicated show called Hearts of Space on Sunday morning. I usually have that on.

Hey, thanks folks! :thmbsp: I am not familiar with many of the names mentioned so I have some interesting homework to do. I am familiar with many of the individuals names mentioned in Downright Upright, but not the group itself. It sounds like they may be right up my alley!

Sunday is 'Slack Key' day around here. Either on the local community radio program or my own spins of Ledward Kaapana or Gabby Pahinui.

If you're not going to church but you still want to get close to God you can put on Virgin Classics 4 CD set of J. S. Bach's Sonatas & Partitas For Violin Solo played by the masterful Christian Tetzlaff and Cello Suites played by Ralph Kirshbaum.

Last summer at a thrift store I found a vinyl copy of Aerial Boundaries in great shape. I was playing it pretty loud, and my 18-year-old son was in the other room. About halfway through, he walked in and said, "What is this? This is AWESOME." Guess I did something right...

Good Call on Craig Chaquico (spelling corrected:D). I picked up his "Acoustic Highway" album at a yard sale and really enjoyed it, so I looked him up and found out he was the guitarist for Jefferson Starship! :yes:

I've now got a few of his albums and enjoy them all!
