Acquired 2 pair of Optimus Pro 7 & 77's, best room placement?

I recently came into possession of 4 sets of Optimus Pro speakers, 2 pair of 7's and 2 pair of 77's. One of the 77's needs refoamed, but other than that they're all in pretty perfect shape.

How should I go about placing these in my living room to maximize their potential? I didn't plan on using all 8 as that would likely be overkill, but I have heard of people using the 7's as front speakers and the 77's as rears. Would I be able to use one or two combined as a center? I've also heard of people stacking the 77's to achieve pretty stellar imaging.

I've also got an Optimus Pro 120, the forward firing version, which I haven't seen or heard much about. I'm a noob when it comes to modding electronics, but would love to get my feet wet with some of the crossover mods for the any of the above speakers (including the sub), I've heard that the Zilch mod for the 7's is worth it.

Any suggestions are appreciated!

I'd use the bigger 77's in front.

As for placement, putting them far enough apart to create a more or less equilateral triangle with the primary listening position would be a good place to start.

Go for broke -- experiment and stack them! Arrange them in a series-parallel arrangement, and they'll still give an 8 ohm load to your amp, while handling more powe and getting more output. I would put each speaker horizontally, and line up the tweeters.
