ADC with USB output

Hello,

I am currently trying to assemble a microphone. I am already working on the amplification to line-level, but I need to send it through USB to my pc (and it should recognize it as a microphone). I have seen many DACs with built-in USB input, but other than SPI and other protocols not compatible with USB, I haven't seen any chip with built-in ADC AND USB output.
If you could at least give me the reason why it is so, or maybe a chip that you know that does that, it would be really helpful (If I have it wrong on how to use adcs, please correct me, I would really appreciate it).

Not sure that I understand your question, but PCM2900 (chip) and UCA202 (product) are two quite old (maybe too old) examples of analog in --> USB out.
