Adcom GFA-555, Hafler DH-101 preamp...

... This might be a dumb question, but how good a deal is $200 for the both of these?

From what I gather on the Adcom, is it is good, but the GFA-555II is better.

I can't find much info on the Hafler.

Seriously, I'm a big time Hafler fan, I bought a DH-500 and 110 preamp in 1981, best grand I ever spent. The 101 is a steal (IMHO) at it's going rate of $100 plus. The GFA-555 goes for over $300. Can't go wrong here.

Now if it was me, I'd sell the adcom and match the 101 with a DH-500!

Yeah, it's a STEAL. The Hafler isn't my favorite preamp, but it is a GOOD one. The Adcom amp (if it's an original 555, especially... it's a Nelson Pass design!) is also a nice piece!

If you don't want them, sell 'em and double your money!!

Yes, and a 1968 Camaro is better than a 1967 (minor rear suspension change and removal of side vent windows), but I'd gladly take either!

Good luck getting them. Hafler stuff seems to be built very well, and of course, Adcom is known for their quality.:thmbsp: :thmbsp: :thmbsp:

Thanks everyone. Fella I know here runs a Junque Shop; and always has gear I want. It's usually a matter of having any $$$ to spend on it; as there is always something. Luckily I look up specs and such for him on the Internet, and I get first dibs on anything that comes in.
