Adcom gfp 565 switch cleaning question

punkzter

Brad
I was given an Adcom gfp 565 by my uncle. I plugged it in and the volume control was scratchy, which I hopefully fixed last night with some deoxit.

What seems more tricky are the push button switches. A couple of those are also scratchy, but I can't see an opening to get the deoxit in. I've attached a picture.

Does anyone have any advice on how to clean these?

I think its not the switches, just an idea that there is no momentary mute circuit to catch the 'noise'.

That did it. Thanks for the tip.
Reviving old thread. I have an Adcom GTP 500ii preamp with a malfunctioning tone in switch. Can it be cleaned? Does the black front part of the push button come out by pulling? I tried pulling gently but did not come off.
