Adcom gtp-500, decent preamp?

Have had this gtp-500 for some time. Just sitting. Would this be any better than the preamp in my marantz 2230 or sony str-6200, str-7065, str-6800? The tuner is just Ok. I have much better tuners, but wondering if the preamp might be useful for a second set-up.

These are very decent-sounding products. Especially good if you'd like to add remote-control to one of those classic pieces.
 
It hasn't worked well with any my vintage stuff. I was just thinking if it was worth keeping in case I eventually get a separate amp.
