Admiral Imperial 80 tube amp

I will be recieving an Admiral Imperial 80 tube amp very soon, it is an amp section removed from a console stereo/tv cabinet circa 1950's. Anyone have any experience with the amps, what is likely to need replacing, and easy upgrades? thanks

Probably will need new capacitors, may need a power switch and fuse added for stand-alone operation. Got a model number or chassis number? I may be able to dig up some info.

There is an inked number stamped on the top of the chassis, a model # maybe?...7R-1. Its has 2 output transformers, 1 power transformer, 7 tubes, L&R speaker outputs as well as L&R rca inputs. No power switch, haven't found a fuse yet. Tubes: 4 EL84, 2 12au7, 1 5u4. The standup cylinder capacitors (2), are "cde" labeled are gold in color and appear to have a cardboard outer skin. Don't have any speakers that I am willing to risk on initial start-up, should this be a concern? thanks for info or advise.

Admiral Imperial 80

I have the Preamp for this unit. I am not able to use it as it has an umbilical plug that receives DC from the amp. If you are interested, I will sell to you for what I paid on eBay $25 plus shipping. It is in very good condition and is very retro looking.

I am not able to find a service manual to decipher the umbilical and do not want to dismantle anything as it is perfectly intact.
