Well, in my case it's because I scored a pair of L1290/2 in San Diego last year for $300... makes the drive to LA to bag these for $250 less appealing.

Doesn't explain the rest of you SoCal slackers leaving these unpurchased for so long, though!

I think I see the problem... the ad specifies serious buyers, no doubt anyone from AK that approached the seller knowing what a steal these are was so giddy they failed the seriousness test. :yes:

Another vote to go get them.
I bought a pair of these new back in 88 or 89 and still have them today.
My are in the Walnut finish.
IMHO, this is a very enjoyable speaker.

If those weren't sexy enough at $250, you really wanted the bigger ones, or were just to far away from LA to make the drive, how about a pair of L1290 @ $295?
