No, it's against craigslist rules. You are only allowed to list items with a set price. What this joker is basically doing is starting an auction. That way he can get top dollar and not have to pay any ebay fees.

If you want an auction, use ebay. If you want to SELL something, use craigslist.

Got it.

I just noticed your sig and wondered about these two pair of Vandersteens also on SF CL with prices.

The 2CI's are near me. Are they worth a look?

No pics and a half-ass description would send me running. Having said that-I had a pair of L1530s and they are very,very,very good speakers.

Vandersteen's are very respectable speakers. A little light in the bass department, but they do vocals and jazz amazingly well. Very open an natural sounding.

As for the price, $300 for the CI's is pretty good, not a steal. If they are in good shape I don't think you would be disappointed.

Is there a big difference between the 2CI's and the 2Ce's?

The Vandersteen speakers are nice, but I think I'd take the ADS if they are close in price. You'd enjoy either though.

AGREED +++++

If I recall correctly, it's mostly a midrange driver improvement. The updated midrange driver is a demanding one, however, and some folk feel the early Vandies are an easier, more relaxed listen.

I see the original 2Cs sell for $250 and up, and the 2Cis sell fro around $300 and up.

I had a choice of the two, and went for the 2Cs. And I really like them.

It's a good, fair price for a very good speaker.

Placement is somewhat important- the rear firing passive radiator if placed properly will give you good bass. Placed poorly, bass drops off a noticeable bit.

Oh- I also have the L1230s- the slightly smaller version of the L1530s.

Another fabulous speaker. They can command incredibly high prices however, as they are uncommon.
