ADS L300 variants

A while back I obtained a set of ADS L300e speakers. I found that the output of one tweeter was noticeably diminished. Using information I found on this forum (thanks to everyone here who has shared info regarding ADS speakers) I was able to disassemble the tweeter in question, check the state of the ferrofluid and carefully reassemble the unit trying to make sure everything lined up correctly. This alone resulted in the sonic success I was in search of . They are really fun little speakers and are quite enjoyable. Enough so that I ended up purchasing a set of L300W speakers (with the walnut veneer).

I was surprised to find a few notable differences (other than the tweeters) that I was not expecting. For one, the cabinet of the L300W design is deeper than that of the L300e (I didn't measure, but it looked to be at least 1/2" difference between the two designs. In addition, the L300e variation is notably heavier than the L300w variation. Has anyone else here had a chance to compare the various iterations of this little speaker? How do the L300 or the L300c compare to either the L300w or L300e when it comes to size and weight? Are there any other differences worth noting? Obviously this isn't a pressing matter, but I was simply curious and I appreciate the ADS knowledge that exists in this forum.

I found specs for the L300e listed as follows.

I know this is quite an old thread, but I just picked up a pair of "model: 300" aDs speakers and they sound unbelievable. I have loved this brand for a long time. These must be the first model that were produced. Hence no letter to follow the model number.

I breifly had a set of bigger ADS speakers (can't remember the model, but larger 2 way bookshelf speakers) and I liked the way they sounded, but had too many speakers so I get rid of them. More recently I was looking for a smaller pair of speakers and considered a pair of L300e speakers that I saw for sale, but didn't like the 4 ohm rating, which I thought may be an issue running them with my old Marantz receiver. I bet though that paired with the right amp, they sound very good...
