ADS L470 Should I Buy Them?

I own a pair of A/D/S L8e speakers and really like their sound in a small room. Today in a consignment/thrift store I saw a pair of ADS L470/2 speakers in very nice cosmetic condition for $95.00, but I walked away. Any advice on these speakers, and how do they compare to my L8e's? I can go back for them, but if my L8e's are actually better speakers I'll probably pass.

I like the L470's. It is somewhat rare, good sounding, plus the size is nice. The L8e however is a better sounding speaker benefitting both from advances in driver technology and later corporate voicing philosophy (Unison). If you had no decent speakers the L470's are a reasonable if not great deal. But you do, lose no sleep over passing them up.

I paid $75 for my 570. If the 470 is anything like those get them. Have several ADS all sound GREAT!

One of the best deals I ever made was a pristine pair of Walnut 570/2's that a buddy sold to me for ...$1.00.

I not only like the looks and the sound, but they're also efficient enough that I can run them off of low powered tube amps in my rather small rooms.
