ADS l810 II’s- What’s up with these resistors?

Hello all. I’m restoring a pair of ADS l810 II’s that got on the cheap. Of course they weren’t in very good condition. I just pulled the crossovers out to have a look. As you can see in the pictures, there is what looks like powder from the sand cast resistors built up on nearby parts. Anyone ever seen this before? Is it a sign of failure?

I'm sure they're fine but I replace those Colber brand resistors anyways.

Because they look like they do in your photo.

Replace them, easy to do, and you won’t have to worry about them for another 30-40 years.

It looks like something out-gassed and caused either deposits or corrosion.
I also agree with replacing them since it will not be too difficult or expensive.
