ADS L880/2 refinishing, not seen this before & need some advice

There's nothing special or appealing about a completely worn out, scratched all over water damaged finish, original or not.
 
I don’t disagree really. There’s no good reason to live with beat up cabinets.

I guess I prefer an original finish and patina on most things. Not much is perfect around here.
 
I should get my stripper this weekend. Will take pics as I go along if I can get to it in the next couple of days

Good luck with those "safe" non-methylene chloride strippers. They're horrible. If you can find a pro shop that'll sell you the Benco brand of stripper, buy it.
