Those are gorgeous! Price feels a bit high, but worse looking pairs have sold for more.
His $960 SX-1010 is definitely overpriced though.

Good for him if he gets it. Not sure how well oak stands really "match" walnut, but I am nitpicking because I think the price is a tad high. If the ferrofluid had actually been replaced, I would feel better about his "excellent" comment as well.

Well the stands do add value to someone that wants ready to go and likes the looks of the stands so the speakers are fully priced. The receiver is priced very close to a fully recapped not partially recapped as he mentions only a couple boards. I know of some fully recapped 1010s that are available for about this or not much more. So again he has his price at the very top of the market.

That said if he is willing to negotiate, and his 1400 for both is a move in the right direction, these are nice units and maybe someone can get a deal on gear to use not gear to flip.

I agree that the 1010 is too high. The 880s are probably on the high end of the range but not unjustified if they're as good as they appear.

For a local sale, L880's have been seen recently from $250 to $350 around here. My buddy and I both paid $250 for our respective pairs. Amazing speakers.

The ad sounded like the guy was forced to sell. Hopefully he got what he needed and the buyer was happy.
