Hi Everyone,
I'm a bit of a newb when it comes to audio equipment, but I got an awesome ADS R1 Receiver and a pair of L1290s from my grandfather about a year ago. I was really loving them, but this morning while I was listening to some music through them (at a relatively quiet volume), I heard a click and the music stopped playing.
Now the R1 will turn on, but no sound comes out of the speakers. Usually when I turn it on, sound doesn't come out for about 3 or 4 seconds, then there's an audible click from the receiver and it starts working. Now it will turn on and I can hear the hum of the (power supply?), but there is no click, and thus no sound.
Is this something I can repair myself like a blown fuse, or should I just send it in? Also where would be a good place to send something like this and how much would it cost me?
Thanks,
Mason
