ADS speakers, the BIG!!! ones

Looks nice. :thmbsp:

Those ADS use the same style mid range drivers the Infinity Quantum Line speakers use, and they sound lovely on a good tube amp!

My limited experience with Onkyo amps (buying one at Tech HiFi years ago), the A-5, showed it to be very clean as compared with another name brand amp and it is still working well. I don't know their line but I'd consider a more powerful version, also the Yamaha Natural Sound series.

The only time I heard these was in a horrible listening environment, and walked away thinking I still hadn't heard them yet.:pity:

I know the feeling. Right now they're being stored in a small office space where I heard them working fully for the first time. I know I haven't "heard them yet" but I could tell what they are capable of.

Found a Kenwood Basic M2

Just added this to the mix. Kenwood Basic M2 and C1. Sound comparisons should be around the week of Thanksgiving when I finally get the 2030s home.

Onkyo vs C1/M2 ?

Okay, the 2030s are loaded in the uhaul and ready for transport of 500 miles to team up with the Onkyo A-7 that I have waiting for them. The Basic M2 is on standby And, I now have a newly acquired Acoustat TNT 200. Further back in the thread a minimum of 200 watts and mosfet preferably was a recommendation... Texas has been pretty good to me. Now I have some experimenting to do. The Acoustat isn't even tested yet but if it all checks out okay...Will post back next week.

This is stereo porn right! :grnbounce
I would still be doing the happy dance from that score
If you lived close to me I'd drag a 200 wpc amp over just to listen to them with you! I've got 980s & 1290s & more, But those Fat Dogs have always made me drool. Congrats!

Hey Roc-on, I've listened to them some with the Onkyo, nice, but still I've yet to hook the TNT 200 up to them. That should be tomorrow. I got into this hobby on the flip side and in the past wouldn't have hesitated to flip these bad boys for a nice profit but lately I've been trying to build my system the way I want it while picking up flipping fodder along the way to support my habit. They're a perfect fit right now.
