Advent 5.1 setup

I'm looking at a pair of Advent Laureate's this Saturday. If I get them I was thinking of using them as rears and try to find a pair of Heritage speakers for fronts. And if that happens, I'm wondering what bookshelf Advent would match up well with the Heritages for a center channel. I'm thinking the Graduate or maybe one of the Baby's. Any ideas would be appreciated.

babys might work ok. i have never a/b'ed them with other advents. i tried an actual advent center channel speaker with my double advent fronts, but it couldn't keep up. so i built a pair of advent bass bins to flank the rpcrt tv and put the two tweeters in small boxes on top of the set. sounds great! maybe you could do something similar?

Interestingly I just came across a set of Maestros ($100) and Baby II's ($80) from the same guy. He says I can look at the Baby II's but somebody is going to see the Maestros tomorrow. But he also says cash gets them first, so we'll see how that goes.

I picked up the Baby II's. The cabinets are very good, an he recently re-foamed the woofers. The tweeters are shot though; I get nothing out of them even hooked straight to the receiver. The crossovers seem functional (100% or not I dunno). Anybody know if this is an original crossover?

Right now I've got an Audax tweeter hooked up to one an it sounds pretty good. For replacements tho it looks like the 1002, Baby I, Baby II, Legacy, an Prodigy tower tweeters will physically fit. Which would work best? (Aside from the Baby II if I can find one.)

I just refoamed a pair of Baby II's yesterday. While I didn't pull the x-over I did peer into the cabinet and saw pretty much what you have pictured there.
