I was thinking about replacing the dome tweeters in my pair of Advent AS2 tower speakers. While they sound pretty decent for the price I paid while in college, I would like to upgrade the sound to a higher level of performance.
My listening preferences are mostly classical and jazz.
On the magnet portion of the dome tweeter, it is marked that it is 6 ohms impedance. There is also another number, which may or may not be important. It is : A1470.
The sensitivity for the entire speaker is 90 db.
The dimensions of the cutout hole are as follows:
inside diameter: 8cm
outside diameter: 11 cm
What type of dome/ ring radiator tweeter would one recommend as an upgrade that has the most natural sound reproduction that would be a drop in replacement?
