Advent Graduate Resoring Help

Hello all. I recently purchased a pair of Advent Graduate speakers from a local GW. They need a refoam which I can do. However it seams that someone spray painted the top and the bottom with the black paint. Since I would like to use them along with my Baby Advents, I would like to restore them to the original condition. I have a few questions and I was hoping for few tips:

1. What would be the best way to remove the paint without damaging the existing wood?
2. What products to use to get the same or close finish look to match Baby Advents wood finish?

Regards
Marcin

Is it possible that these Graduates were black from the manufacter? I think I remember that the solid wood tops of my Advent Legacy II's can be removed from the inside maybe (memory a little foggy)? If they can come off of these Graduates also then you just need to get your hands on some paint stripper and some steel wool, remove the paint then apply a wood finish that will match your Baby's.

I was looking at many pictures of these speakers on the internet and I have not see black version of these. However I might be wrong. I will check if I can take the wood panels off. Thanks for the tip.
