I had some Advents that were great except for a frayed section about the size of a silver dollar on a grille. I wasn't satisfied with the replacement grille material I was seeing (although there may be excellent ones out there), and replacing and aligning grille cloth is a pain and somewhat expensive. Out of curiosity I asked my tailor if he could fix it and he recommended a "reweaving" person here in town. She was a lovely older woman who did mostly sweater repair out of a room in her comfortable home. She had never done speakers before, but said she would try (I think she liked the challenge). Two days later she called and said they were ready and she had done the best she could. Her "best" was exceptional - unless you knew where to look you couldn't see the repair and even then you had to be closer that a foot away. Her charge was so low I gave her a 50% tip. If you want to stay original, you may want to give this a try. I'm sorry I have no pics - they sold fast. I told the buyer but they couldn't see the repair.
