Which ones to buy - Original Advents, Prodigy tower, or Heritage. I used to own 4 of the original, so I know how great they sound. I have never heard the Prodigy or Heritage - How do they compair. Currently have a set of BOSE 901's that I want to replace. Thanks -

One vote for not picking the Prodigys. They aren't a bad speaker, but in my opinion they aren't in the same class. I haven't heard Heritages, but have the smaller (6.5" vs 8" woofers) Laureates, and they are pretty decent. Bass is a little lacking but they are attractive and solid with a convenient footprint if that is a factor. I would give the Heritages a listen if I came across them. It sounds like you know the original Advents, so you know what you are getting there.

Some folks like the Heritage, many think the New Large is the way to go.
I have been using the original because they are so cheap, usually under $30 that need a refaom.
Whichever you get, they will hold value, so for under $150 you can get a set of all 3 and choose what you like. :D

+1 for OLA. I have 2 pairs of Prodigy with the cainets in a bit rough shape but i got them each for $5 (refoamed). Not bad but the OLA/NLA beats them very easily.
I would buy them all and decide and sell the ones you don't like.

Another I would like to add is the Legacy II. (10 inch 2-way speaker) IMO, a good speaker. Playing side by side with my NLA's, I actually prefer the soft dome tweeter of the Legacy over the fried egg tweeter of the NLA. I later replaced the fried egg tweeters with Legacy tweeters and that solved the problem. The NLA/Legacy tweeter combo are now my main speakers in my 2-channel system.

Also, if you do find Prodigy towers for cheap...Partsexpress has a Pioneer 8" fullrange that sounds quite good in the Prodigy tower box, IMO.
