Advent Laureate-Prepping for New Foam

Nothing like sweltering in your garage during a heat warning. But hey not all bad, Earth, Wing & Fire's "The Best of Earth, Wind & Fire Vol. 1" on repeat, Maurice White was a genius!

So the goal is to get all the old stuff, glue-rotted speaker surround, off the speaker cone and the metal ring of the spider. Wow, a couple decades makes a difference! Working with 1990's glue there's still elasticity and I could actually pull it off the spider ring, without resort to my dulled wood chisel to remove it.

That made the day!
