Advent model 3 advice

Hello once again,I have another question for all of the more knowledgable audiophiles out there.
I have came across some Advent model 3 loudspeakers that I can get for $15.00 in really decent shape.
My question is,has anyone got a pair of these and how well do they sound,I have heard some good reviews on this particular"bookshelf"speaker?
Any help will be appreciated,I also came across a set of klh model 30 speakers for $75.00.

the little advents sound very nice as low/medium volume bedroom/den speakers. they need some power to wake up, but can not take a lot of power after that. i have a pair of /3s and /4s.

dont know the klh's.
 
I have a pair of the Advent /3. They really surprised me! They have a very full sound and can rock. It is easy to bottom out the woofers, though. It is easy to hear - they make a thwok-thwok sound. Some say it sounds like they are blatting. Any decent receiver from 35-50 wpc will easily drive these speakers. My son used them for quite awhile and really misses them. I may have to put them back in there. For $15, you can't really go wrong; that is the same price I paid. Here is a link to pictures of mine:

I recently acquired a pair of Advent/3's. I like them better than my EPI 100's when it comes to the midrange response, especially female vocals. I overpaid for mine at $55 but they are in excellent condition and I was able to test them out first.

I don't think you overpaid, especially after hearing them myself. I cannot think of other speakers for $55 that would sound better than these. Possibly some Minimus 7 and maybe one or two others.
