Advent NLA's Proper Woofer Foam Placement

I recently purchased a set of Advent NLA's at an estate sale. The woofers needed refoamed and I will need to replace one fried egg tweeter. My question is, when the replacement foam is attached, does the foam contacting the speaker cone go behind the cone or in front. Examining the cones, it looks like the original foam was on the back side of the cone and the metal frame had the outer side mounted on it. Which way should it be to be correct????? Of course, just asking for a friend!!!! LOL

Goes behind the cone and in front of the frame.

Not trying to stalk you, but are you in Atlanta? I barely missed a pair of similar sounding Advents recently at a Hifi hoarder’s sale. Sounds like you might’ve just beat me to them.
