Advent recap questions

I'm recapping a set of Advent 5012/0 speakers.

The original capacitors are marked:
Bi polar Unicon 50V 7.5 mfd
Bi polar Unicon 50V 32 uf

There's a Resistor too: Colber 3 ohm 10% cw10

I would appreciate assistance on what type or brand components I should consider for replacing these.

Parts Express has the parts you need.

They don't sell a 32 uF. So, order 30 and 2 uF caps and wire them in parallel. Suggest you get the Dayton 1% for this. They have a 7.5 uF dayton in their 10% line or Solen also has one.

Suggest you also order new Mills 3 ohm resistors.

Do both crossovers have the same components? The reason I ask is that when I opened up my buddy's 5002's to redo his, they had 2 different boards in them. The serial numbers on the speakers were quite a ways apart so maybe it was a running change.

Thanks for the input...I'll be ordering from PE this week.

The speakers have consecutive serial numbers and the xover components are identical...

I've got a set of 5002s I recently got off ebay. They actually sound pretty good right now. My question for those who have recapped is, do you think that recapping will make a significant difference on speakers that already sound pretty good or is recapping for speakers that have obvious sound quality issues.
