Advent Tweeter Switch-Out

I have a pair of Advent 2. I've read here that the woofers are outstanding but the tweeters are a let-down. I'm unsure if the 2's were produced as an upgrade to the original smaller Advent or a separate model altogether.

My first question is if swapping the tweeters for ones on the original smaller Advent will fix this shortcoming.

My second question is if there is a crossover modification to the Advent 2 that will either make the tweeters perform better or allow a successful swap for the other, older tweeters.

the 2 has the funky tweeter array, and I think it's the angled/dipole orientation of the tweets that cause a lot of the complaints. if it were me and you don't care about originality, I'd upgrade to some nice silk domes, like the dayton 1 1/8" piece, and figure out a 2nd order high pass in the 1800-2000 hz region

or in memory of Zilch, E-wave 'em using his AR 4x or smaller advent econowave as a starting point
