Advent?

Hey guys,

So I just got a pair of Advent Loudspeakers, and the sound amazing. Original owner, just had the cones professionally refoamed. Two questions, though:

1.) They say "Advent/I" and nothing else. What are they?

2.) The owners manual says "18 gauge lamp cable". Ideas on what to hook them up with? I was thinking about stipping an extension cord, but maybe that's a dumb idea?

Advent 1, same drivers as New Large Advents in a smaller cabinet with a different crossover.

Extension cords work fine for speaker wire as they are commonly 16 gauge.

That was written before you could buy a 50' spool of 18 AWG speaker wire for $3.95. Buy the wire and keep using your extension cord as an extension cord.
