it lloks like New Advents, but not 100% sure. Asked for some additional information. They are 40-45 minutes from me. Always wanted a pair. Let's se what Karma has for me...

Original Large Advents $50 for the pair is a good price. Walnut cabinets too.
Figure a couple more bucks for the refoaming that they will need.

Hope it works for you. I thought it looked like the Advent/1. I just refoamed a pair. Relatively easy to do and you can't go wrong for $25.

You might be right about being Advent 1. Still with refoam the pair woul be less than $100 - i think that is an OK deal.

That is not an Advent/1

The Advent/1 is smaller, about 2" smaller in each dimension, also although they came in walnut as well the cabinet style was much different and they were a lot less common than the utility /1s. Also the grill had a rectangle cut out for the tweeter, when the Original Large Advents had a small circle.

I hate to be a know-it-all but I have had more than a few pairs of Advents.

Sir Byrd I think you are right. The more I look at the pictures, they show (through the grilles?) that the woofer and tweeter are farther from each other and spaced as the original Advents. Hope this guy replies soon to my e-mail.
