:D G'day all, no not like that! Some of you might recall that late last year I purchased myself an exercise bike to take the place of regular morning walks that sadly are too difficult for me now.

Well, I wish I'd bought it years ago! I use it every day and get throught a bit more than 300 calories in a daily 35 odd minute session. I think that they're great value and much more effective than any walk.

Here's to exercise bikes. :thmbsp: Regards, Felix aka catman.

I bought one at GW last year ( $25 ) at it really does work me over . It doesn't quite take the place of real bike riding , but it is good excercise .

The only bad part is trying to build up the butt callous's,just bought a road bike recently after a long time of not riding, boy is my butt sore:D

I've had a Schwinn AirDyne for years. Got around 7000 "miles" on it. Target for a session is 5 miles in 20 minutes. Great for keeping your wind up during the winter months, and just keeping loose. My knees are crap, and I'll loose a lot of range of motion if I don't keep at it. I'll always do a mile or two on the AirDyne before getting on the motorcycle just so I can bend my knees far enough to get my feet on the pegs. <G>

Trick is to put it somewhere you'll be tripping over it. Stash it in a corner or a basement, and it'll largely go ignored ...

Careful what music you're playing while working the thing. Your brain is gonna want to keep up with the beat, and wango de tango can kill ...

G'day mate, lately I just listen to the radio or watch some sport on television. Just enough to take my mind off the pedalling. :D Regards, Felix aka catman.
