Advice needed for transition to a Mc setup

So currently everything in my stereo is on the chopping block to get ready for some Mc componets. So far I have strongly leaning to the C220/MC275V combo. The 1st reason is because I really like the sound, and the 2nd is its the right price. 3rd is that I can add a 2nd 275 when I am ready for more power.

So I have a decently small room 11 x 17, some of my speaker considerations are:
Sonus Faber Cremona
Focal BE1027
Dynaudio S3.4
B&W 803D

One more thing to note is that my speakers can only be about 16" from the sidewalls and 24" from the rear walls.

I know many people like the pairing of he Sonus Faber and Mc gear.
So, are these speakers going to be to much for my room? Would I be better off gong with a monitors with the possibility of adding a sub if I feel I need more low end?

So I am up for any type of suggestions, I am not totally sold on the 220/275 combo, but am strongly leaning towards it, and also advice on what speakers will go best with my room and the 220/275.

Thanks

Sounds like a great set up: C220, MC275 x 2, Sonus Faber Cremona :music: If you get the monitor's and 2 subs it will sound good as well, but the 3 way cremona is my personal preference.

What about the Cremona with just 1 mc275, as I am building this system piece by piece it will be quite a while for the second to be added, will it be enough in the mean time?

Also any recommendations for speaker cables/interconnects/power cables? I currently use Analysis Plus but am thinking I will try them out but will want to some different cables that users of the forum recommend. I am looking for good cables that don't break the bank.

The cremona speakers are very efficient 4 ohm speakers and one MC275 will work. Speaker cables and interconnects is a very controversial topic. Just get a speaker cable of atleast 14 gauge, keep the runs as short as possible, interconnects get something that has a shield for RF and solid connectors. I am using Audioquest but I do not think you have to spend alot on cables. I have also used monster 600 interconnects and they sounded as good as my audioquest and were less than $100 for a pair of 1 meter cables. I use stock power cords however I have a panamax M5300pm surge protector/ AC line filter and I have no noise at all. Hope this helps. David
