Advice needed on setup (antenna grounding)

Thanks for reading this. My prior post was on the subject of AC grounding. I thought antenna grounding might ought to be separate. My antenna comes into the house through a coax cable and plugs into the MR71. The coax has a this metal foil outside the white insulation for grounding. I once read somewhere that you don't want your antenna ground to be the same as your AC ground. So I placed another 8 foot grounding rod near the base of the antenna, just in case. Should I strip off this grounding foil and make the grounding connection outside to the second ground rod?

You should have the antenna itself grounded to the ground rod with a heavy gauge wire. Then, afaik, there should be a lightning arrestor+grounding block properly spliced into the coax. By properly spliced in, I mean the coax cut, properly reterminated, then connected to the lightning arrestor and grounding block, which in turn is also connected to the ground rod with a heavy gauge wire.
