Advice on Denon DP-60L arm lift

There is a Denon DP-60L for sale near me. Cosmetically it is pristine. I mean, like it came out of the box yesterday. The platter spins and holds its speed nicely. Silent motor. However, the “lift” button that raises and lowers the tonearm doesn’t work. On one try I saw the arm move up and down a little, but that’s all. My question: Is this likely to be an easy fix, involving cleaning or tweaking something, or might it require expensive parts or ones that are unobtainium? I know this is minimal information to diagnose a problem, but hoping some Denon experts out there might have an idea of whether this is a common problem with an easy fix or not.

Haven't used my 59l in a few months and I'm not hope to look, but I think that it it just needs to be cleaned and lubed. Oil or grease, I wouldn't know.

Mine also has an adjustment so that if I raise or lower the tonearm.

I'm not expert in Pioneer TT. I recently got a PL-71 the Lifting Arm was stuck. I used a q-tip sprayed with WD-40 loosened it right up. I also had to manually adjust the lifting arm, where it picked up the arm was very low, almost touching the Lp. I straightened a bit. My guess is when the up & down got slow, the previous owner worked on it. I was told the original lubrication/grease dries out.

I have a DP 60L that has the same problem. I think the buttons are capacitor related some how. If I haven't used it in a about a week, the problem shows up. I found that if I press one finger on the button and my thumb on the metal body close by, slowly and repeatedly the tonearm will lift just a little. Several more times doing this and the tonearm will raise and lower like it should. If I use it every day I generally don't have this problem. But a period of non-use and the problem will arise again. I know it is not a solution, but in my case it is a viable work around

I think it's a pretty common issue especially if it hasn't been used in a bit.

Seems that the arms that lower into the unit get gunky and stick. Easy to clean if that's the problem. There's also an adjustment screw that sets the spot the arm raises in the dead wax. Easy adjustment.
