Advice on speaker pairing for Fisher KX-100

Looking to build a setup for listening to vinyl. I've purchased a Fisher KX-100 tube amp and it's in the shop right now being inspected. I still haven't bought a TT but plan on purchasing a Thorens TD 160 if i can find one for a good price. The last remaining component I'll need is speakers, and I'm pretty unsure what to get/look for. Important factors include:

• Speaker width needs to be under 10" (i live in a small apartment with limited space)—likely making towers the best fit
  • Unfortunately, the left speaker will have to be squished into a corner
• Power for the tube amp i plan on using (Fisher KX-100) i've seen listed as anywhere from 20-35 wpc at 8 ohms
• I don't plan on listening at high volume and i mostly listen to jazz records
• My price range is under $500 (preferably under $300) but i'd be flexible for exceptional value/deals
• Hoping for something with a nice looking wood finish (less important than actual quality of speakers)

I've been surfing AK and cross-referencing with locally available (LA) speakers. Some of the speakers I've seen recommended include:

• JBL Studio 500 series – the Studio 570s are available near me for $200, although the seller said they aren't efficient and probably wouldn't work with my tube amp
• KEF 104/2
• Advent Heritage

Any additional recommendations on what I should be looking for? I'm very new to hifi, so all advice is appreciated!

ads L1090. Tall narrow towers that will play great at low volume and up. I have a pair and cannot remember the dimensions or EF but sound wonderful on tube. Actually they sound amazing on SS too...

Anyway, my two cents here.

Klipsch Heritage, Any Altec or JBL that are horn loaded. Same goes for EV, Frazier,. In smaller rooms anything above 90 db sensitivity. should work where you listen closer than 8 ft. My speakers are 95 db efficient. At 2 watts with very short peaks close to 10 watts is plenty for me.
