I'm rather new to audio equipment and such, and because of so, I am not sure what brands are good or bad, or if their features are needed or not.

I have a problem with playing music from my Pioneer Private sound system, and because of that I need to get an amplifier to play music from my phone/PC... Maybe.
I have another thread that's asking how to solve this problem, in here.
If someone helps me solve this problem and proves that I don't really need another amp, that would REALLY help.
Alright, so...
Amps. All they do is make signals louder, right? Just plug it into the mains, stick in your audio jack/USB, and you're done... Right?
Maybe there's more to this, but I'm not sure. If someone could explain more about amps, that'll really help.
So I need a stereo amp that's not unnecessarily expensive. I need a simple, 100Wx2 channel amp that can drive my speakers with an impedance rating of 6Ω.
(I would also like to know the difference between the power and resistance of the speakers, if anyone could explain what they are in a nutshell)
Although I'm not an audiophile, I'm still sensitive to the different variations of sound, like the slight overpowering of bass. So a cheap, Chinese product may not be enough, unless they are actually decent.
I don't know how much these amps can cost, since the amps I usually see are the big ones for full soundsystems. But generally, maybe around the $100 price range, if that's enough. The lesser, the better, of course.
If possible, could it be compact as well?
I also live in a not-western country, so common or local brands in western countries may not be available.
Currently, I am looking at Yamaha. But many of their amps produce 300W per channel, and that will unnecessarily increase the price, and make the volume adjustment change pretty suddenly, I think.
But if the minimum power that's commonly found is 300W, then it'll be ok.
A brand I'm also interested in is V8Sound. They are an Indonesian brand that sells speakers and equipment. They are very complete, but their selling point is "nationalism". Many of their stuff come in the colors red and white, and are sometimes named after their presidents (e.g. Soekarno). And that could be a bad sign...
They exclusively sell high-power amps too, so they'll be expensive as well.
So, for people who found this TL;DR, this is what I need:
- Some info regarding my Pioneer Private A-X5 system in here, if possible (whether or not I require an AMP for extenal stuff).
- 2 channel, 100W, 6 ohm
- Cheap, but not too cheap (around $100 or less)
- Good value for its cheap price (the lower the price but more features compared to it, the better)
- As little unnecessary additions as possible (e.g. 300W instead of 100W)
- Compact
- Widely available in non-western countries.
If you suggest a product, please state a short description about it. Thanks!
