After replacing 2SC458's, do I need to adjust bias?

Howdy folks--just a quick question here. I want to replace a handful of 2SC458 transistors in the power amp board of a JVC 5540 receiver. It's a cap-coupled receiver, an old-timer with screw terminals and TO-3 output devices. If I swap out those transistors for KSC1845's, must I then adjust the bias? I already replaced the 458's in the PRE board and all seems well so far.

No, it wouldn't, would it? I guess this is just good common sense. Damn those 2SC458's!

Thank you again for your help with the CR-800; she's singing like a diva and I continue to marvel at her construction and sound. She sounded very good until I manned up and did the caps on the very crowded tone board, then bass woke up! One of the last great receivers that still flies under the radar, due to the flashier siblings that followed it (but not as well built, from what I've heard).

Always at least check it. If you change anything in the "drive", the "balance" may be upset and in need of tweaking anyways.
