You guys are more determined than I am. I'd just find the Dust Bug arm and stick it back on there. Even if it was never used, it would be the lazy way out

I appreciate all of the sage advice I received in regards to safely removing the remnants of an ancient Dust-Bug apparatus. I used the "Freeze & Scrape" method with better than expected success. After placing the TT belt housing in the freezer for about an hour, some gentle tugging released the majority of the Dust-Bug, leaving only a slightly raised element of residual glue. To remove that, I carefully scraped it off with a razor blade, which unfortunately left a couple of scuff marks, which I hope I'll be able to buff out at some point. If not, I still have a beautiful Empire Troubador 398 to enjoy! Now I need to see about finding a proper dust cover for her...Nonetheless, thanks again!
