Aftershock

Copa1934

My ears are bleeding
We've taken a liking to a number of the "imports", mostly because we've grown incredibly tired of worn out Hollywood tripe.

Anyway, if you don't like subtitles and you don't like true stories and you can't handle hard hitting drama (not of the teen twilight crap) or you simply don't care for foreign movies in general you can pass on this one.

This movie slaps you silly roughly 15 minutes into the movie. Acting, mostly, was very believable/real. Special effects seemed right on and at times too real. Having been through many earthquakes in SoCal and Seattle (in a 6 story building, that continued shaking for a couple minutes after the shock was over) it wasn't hard to be drawn in by this movie. Very little, if anything, to nit pick. Just an absorbing movie/story.

Was very well done, better than most everything coming out of Hollywood these days. We've enjoyed a number of movies coming out of the orient, especially more recent affair that are not typical "B" or "Godzilla" type stuff.
