I live in Lake County, Ohio, some 35 miles east of Cleveland in the middle of nowhere (that's what it seems like to me at times, being an ex-suburbanite--there are times, not often but get this feeling every once in a while, that I wish I had never left the suburb where I used to live--that and I sometimes wonder why I didn't learn to drive when I had the chance), and have been wondering if there might be an AudioKarma gathering in this area some time in the near future. I don't drive, and don't like the idea of having missed the last AK get-together in the Cleveland area a few years ago. I'd like to be able to meet some of you without having to go hundreds or thousands of miles across the country.
Am I scaring some of you off because I live near Cleveland....well, within 35 miles of the city? Cleveland hasn't had a really good reputation since 1969, when a river near Cleveland caught fire; seems people have been laughing their fool heads off at this area ever since, which has all but shot the city's reputation all to pieces. I'm tired of it and wish I could move to a city with a better reputation, like Chicago, but after my last move (from the suburb where I formerly lived to this wide spot in the road where I live now) I can't afford to move again. If I had known I'd be this lonely here--if I had any idea at all--I'd have stayed in the suburbs.

BTW, I can't believe there are no AK members in my area besides myself. The nearest one I know of is dr*audio in suburban Cleveland, and he's still about 25 miles west of here. I have yet to see any posts from members here in Lake County. I know this is the smallest county in Ohio, but gee--there must be a few AK members here, somewhere.
