Akai AA-1115 Dial String Help Needed

Hello. My name is Eric and I have an Akai AA-1115 I just repaired, recapped, and biased but I have a problem. The tuning knob was bent against the face plate and the string had come lose. The knob stem has been straigtened but I need help with putting the string back on. It isn't broken and still has the loop on the end, but I've never stringed a dial before. The manual shows it but not very well and only at one angle. It should be obvious, I know, but not for someone doing it the first time. Maybe it's stretched out? Anyone have pictures of their own? I don't have the same unit to guide you, but there are general guidelines to re string a dial.
Pay attention to the manual. Important details are: position of the tuning capacitor (closed or open, all to the right or all to the left) and how many turns around each shaft.

The string tension will be ajusted by a spring , what is usually the last thing you connect. I mean, usually you run the string quite tight, starting at the end without the spring, and you finish the string with the spring on the other end.

Thanks for the reply. I eventually figured it out late last night. Just had to get my eyes right when looking at the service manual's drawing. Works a treat now.
