I see an interesting one up on eBay. I suspect that the watts-per-channel rating listed in the ad may be highly inflated. I have the AA-910DB (~18 wpc) in this AA-9xx line, and this 70 wpc continuous @ 8 ohms listed in the eBay ad seems very high to me. I was thinking it was in the 35-50 wpc range. I may be wrong. Hopefully, someone will chime-in with the answer.

Does anyone have the true output specs in some of your old, cherished, and vintage literature somewhere such as a sales brochure, or better yet, an Orion Blue Book catalog? Maybe you even know it off the top of your head.

Thanks,

The AA-940 is a case for not believing everything in Orion. Orion says 90 watts. Seems WAY to high for 1972-73. Might be IHF.

I have a AA-940 as well but with DC offset way out of whack. It looks like my tech is able to fix it and it is he who came across some specs.

A Japanese site rates the receiver at 95 W + 95 W continuous into 4 Ohms and 70 W + 70 W into 8 Ohms with a harmonic distortion of <0.03%. This on the other hand doesn't quite jive with the spec sheet at the link below. But then again neither site provided RMS power.
