Akai AAR-40

I got one from my mother in law that saw very little use and is in mint condition....anybody have any experience with it? I'm planning on hooking up the Akai record player up to it with some decent speakers. Here are the specs:

Should be a decent 50Wunit. During the late 70's AKAI was at the top of it's game. They tend to run under the radar and are underappreciated. But generally good units.
 
I had an AAR30 for a while. Beautiful unit with an interesting look. It had a pleasant neutral sound. Nice find.
